Letter from the President _ 2002

World events in 2001 were shaped and changed by the cataclysmic events of September 11. Being located as close as we are to New York City, all of us were deeply affected by the tragic loss of friends and neighbors, and filled with admiration for the heroism of the rescue workers and the resiliency and strength of all of America. We at TRIDENT will always remember those events, yet we have emerged with a renewed vigor and commitment to our families and friends, to ourselves, and to our clients.

The TRIDENT Services Division continued its focus on providing maintenance services for COMPAQ systems. Several new state lotteries were added as clients, including Missouri, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oregon and Washington. TRIDENT was also able to expand our services offering for SUN systems with such notable companies as Alstom Power, Bellsouth Communications and Verizon, to name a few. TRIDENT plans to focus on the growth of our services offering to take advantage of our excellent experience and reputation.

The AUTODYNAMICSTM Simulation Division delivered several successful projects during the year, including Ultramar Diamond Shamrock, HOVENSA LLC and TOSCO Corporation. TRIDENT was also awarded a large simulator project for Bahrain Petroleum Company (BAPCO) as part of their plant expansion and reinstrumentation. As importantly, TRIDENT received many contracts with our existing simulator clients for system upgrades and expansions. We are always pleased to continue our long-standing relationships with our clients, and appreciate their faith in our products. Post installation support and services have always been a key focus for TRIDENT. 2002 has started with the notification of a significant simulator award, and the expectation of a good year as the economy recovers.

Our simulator technological enhancements and improvements in 2001 have been significant, especially with advances in the development of our Human-Machine Interfaces. We believe this technology has become well received by our client base, and we see this as a differentiation from our competitors. As the leader and visionary of TRIDENT's development efforts, Gary Aldridge was promoted to Vice President.

2002 looks like an exciting year for TRIDENT with new challenges, new markets and a continued dedication to our clients and employees.
