Specifications
The Sun Fire 6800 server supports from two to 24 UltraSPARC[tm] III processors, up to 192 GB of memory, 32 PCI slots or 16 hot-swappable cPCI slots, and one to four Dynamic System Domains. The system offers mainframe-class availability features, including full hardware redundancy, concurrent maintenance, online upgrades, and hot CPU upgrades. Additionally, this system offers mainframe-class resource management with Dynamic Reconfiguration and fully fault-isolated, Dynamic System Domains. The high-performance Sun Fireplane interconnect delivers 9.6 GB/sec. sustained bandwidth and has an aggregate bandwith of 67.2 GB/sec. The system is housed in its own standard-width (24-inch) data center cabinet.
